Virgin Mobile Broadband Speeds Now Up To 7.2Mb
Virgin Media (virginmedia.co.uk) has increased its mobile broadband speeds to up to 7.2Mbps following the launch of its new USB modem stick.
The new 7.2Mb USB modem stick is available on a range of contract lengths and monthly data usage limits, enabling consumers to select the mobile broadband package that best suits their requirements.
Users can opt for an 18 month contract or a shorter, more flexbile, 2 month contract and choose from either a 1GB or 3GB data usage allowance each month.
This means that for £10 a month on an 18 month contract, users can have access to mobile broadband speeds up to 7.2Mbps with a 1GB monthly data usage allowance. A small £9.99 set up fee is required for the USB modem stick.
Alternatively, users can pay a one off £34.99 set up fee and take the shorter 2 month contract option.
The Executive Director of Mobile at Virgin Media, Graeme Oxby said: “We’re thrilled to be offering this faster mobile broadband to our users. If you’re not at home or near a wireless connection, mobile broadband is the best way of staying connected on the move and we’re delighted to be making this a speedier, more pleasant experience for our customers”.
The new up to 7.2Mbps speeds join the company’s existing range of up to 3.6Mbps mobile broadband packages.
