BT Fibre Optic Broadband Offers 3 Months Free

BT fibre optic broadband (BT.com/fibreopticbroadband), with super-fast download speeds up to 40Mbps, is now available for free for the first 3 months to Brits living in enabled areas.
The new promotion by BT means that the 5 million households that currently lie within BT’s fibre optic broadband coverage areas can sign up to the online deal – And enjoy the company’s most powerful broadband to date.
The deal, which includes a 40GB usage allowance and unlimited weekend phone calls to UK landlines, usually cost £18 a month and thus generates an instant saving of £54.
The BT Infinity Home Hub, BT’s fibre enabled wireless router is also included, as is free McAfee security, 5GB of online storage at the BT Digital Vault and unlimited Wi-Fi minutes.
Over 10 million UK homes are expected to have access to BT fibre optic broadband by the summer of 2012.

Orange Broadband ‘No Tricks Just Treats’ 3 Months Free

The Orange (www.orange.co.uk/tricksvstreats) ‘No Tricks Just Treats’ promotion is offering 3 months free home broadband to existing Orange mobile phone customers.
The offer applies to its up to 20Mbps unlimited Home Broadband and Evening & Weekend Calls package, which like all its packages, doesn’t include any hidden ‘tricks’ like extra usage charges for exceeding download limits.
There’s also no connection fee for Orange customers (saving £30), while treats like 2-for-1 cinema tickets with Orange Wednesdays and a £20 HMV voucher all apply when customers sign up by calling Orange on 0800 072 4136.
After the first 3 months free, Orange mobile customers will receive a further £5 a month off their bill for the EE Home Broadband and Evening & Weekend Calls package – which means a UK best value price of just £7.50 a month.

A free wireless router worth £50 is included in the package as is unlimited offpeak calls to UK landlines, 0845 and 0870 numbers.

Plus.net/fibre Offers Fibre Optic Broadband For £16.49

Plusnet (www.plus.net/fibre-broadband) is offering its new 40Mbps fibre optic broadband service, known as Plusnet Fibre, for just £16.49 a month.
Rated as one of the best value fibre optic broadband services on the market, Plusnet Fibre uses ’Fibre to the Cabinet’ (‘FTTC’) technology which connects telephone exchanges to street cabinets using faster fibre optic links.

At the time of writing around 5 million UK homes have access to Plusnet Fibre, with 10 million (40% of UK homes) expected to have access to the faster speeds and bandwidth by next summer.
Recent customer trials of Plusnet Fibre have seen users triple their broadband speed from 2-12Mbps to speeds of 30Mbps or more.

Plusnet has two fibre optic broadband packages available, Plusnet Value Fibre and Plusnet Extra Fibre. Both have speeds up to 40Mbps, but differ on the usage allowance.
Plusnet Value Fibre, priced from £16.49 a month, gives customers a 40GB monthly download usage allowance, with free usage between the hours of midnight and 8am.
Plusnet Extra Fibre, priced from £21.49 a month, has a higher 120GB monthly usage allowance and also comes with the free overnight usage.
A free wireless router is included in both packages, while a £50 charge applies for the engineer assisted installation – though this can be avoided if a customer takes one of the Plusnet Fibre packages with a Plusnet Home Phone package.

Free Unlimited Broadband At Sky.com/unlimitedfree

Sky (sky.com/unlimitedfree) has unveiled a 3 months free offer for its up to 20Mbps ‘Unlimited’ broadband package.
The offer is open to existing Sky TV customers and non Sky TV customers who order the Sky Broadband Unlimited package which comes with free evening and weekend phone calls to UK landlines.
Existing Sky TV customers can order online at the sky.com/existing website, where after the first 3 months free, the price reverts to £7.50 a month.
Non Sky TV customers do not need to order Sky TV to get the 3 months free ‘Unlimited’ broadband offer. They can order Sky Broadband Unlimited without TV at sky.com/no-tv and will need to pay £10 a month from month four.
Sky Broadband Unlimited has no monthly download usage limit, no fair usage policy and does not throttle Internet traffic at peak times.
It is the company’s premium broadband package and is a good choice for downloading music & enjoying uninterrupted online gaming.
Free technical support together with free security software and a free wireless router are included in the package.
Those applying for the 3 months free broadband offer will need to switch their phone line rental to Sky’s, which is currently £11.25 a month. This is cheaper than BT, Virgin Media and TalkTalk.

The 12 months half price offer at £3.25 a month is available to order online only at the TalkTalk website and applies to the company’s ‘Essentials’ package.
