O2 Add Laptops With Built In Mobile Broadband
O2 (www.o2.co.uk/laptops) has added two new laptops with built in mobile broadband to its range of mobile broadband free laptop packages.
Exclusive to O2, the two new laptops with embedded SIM cards are the Samsung N150 netbook, which is available online now and the Asus UL30A laptop which will be available in May.
The Samsung N150 netbook is a great starter laptop or second device and comes well specified with a 250GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, 10.1″ screen and 6 hour battery life. It’s perfect for accessing the Internet on the move as it weighs just 1.26Kg.
Featuring the Windows 7 operating system, the netbook which currently retails at around £280, is available with built in O2 Mobile Broadband speeds up to 3.6Mbps for just £25 a month. A one-off set up fee of £29.99 applies.
Customers opting for this mobile broadband and laptop package will get a 3GB monthly download usage allowance plus 500MB of Wi-Fi usage per month at 7,500 hotspots in the UK via The Cloud and BT Openzone.
The package also features an extended two year warranty for the netbook, 30 days O2 Techies support, McAfee Internet Security for the duration of the contract and O2’s 30 day ‘Happiness Guarantee’ which enables customers to return the laptop at no additional cost if they are not satisfied.
Commenting on the launch, O2’s Head of Home and Broadband, Felix Geyr, said: “We know that customers want to be able to click and go without the hassle of having to load up a mobile broadband dongle and our new range will make surfing the web and staying in touch even easier”.
Geyr continued: “The laptop market has exploded in the last 18 months and we believe these two laptops from Asus and Samsung will once again give O2 customers a great experience”.
