Sky.com/SkyPlus – Sky+ Box With Free Catch Up TV
Sky (www.sky.com/skyplus) has added a free 7 day Catch Up TV service plus a huge library of TV On Demand, including whole series box sets, to the Sky+ and Sky+ HD box.
Sky+ users simply need to connect their Sky+ box to their broadband router to catch up on some of the best TV from the last 7 days from their subscribed Sky TV channels, plus the BBC iPlayer, the ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5.
With On Demand (the new name for Sky Anytime+), users can choose from a vast library of TV shows including full series box sets and watch them when they want to.
The new Catch Up TV and On Demand features are available at no extra monthly cost to existing Sky TV subscribers and new Sky customers taking Sky TV from £21.50 a month.
Popular Sky+ box features like pausing live TV, rewinding those all-important moments and recording two shows at once, even while watching a third, are still available.
It’s worth noting that as On Demand downloads count towards broadband usage caps, both existing and new Sky customers may be better off taking Sky’s Unlimited Broadband package.
Sky Broadband Unlimited has no monthly download usage allowances or limits and its speed is not slowed down at peak times. The package is currently half price for 12 months for existing Sky customers (followed by £7.50 a month) and £10 a month for new customers.
New customers switching to Sky can currently order Sky TV, the Sky+ box, Sky Go and Sky Broadband Lite with weekend calls for just £21.50 a month – with a £25 M&S voucher also included for those orders placed online.
The Sky TV package features over 40 TV channels including the likes of Sky LIVING, Sky1 and Sky Atlantic, while there’s also hundred of free to air channels like the main Freeview channels to enjoy.
Sky Broadband Lite only has a 2GB monthly download usage allowance, so upgrading to Sky Broadband Unlimited (for an additional £10 a month) is something to seriously consider.
