3 iPhone 5 SIM Only Deals – £6.90 With 500MB Internet

[Updated:17th April 2013] Mobile operator 3 (Three.co.uk/iPhone) has launched a range of iPhone 5 SIM only deals, with prices starting from just £6.90 a month for a calls and texts tariff that includes a 500MB Internet allowance.

These new nano-SIM only deals are perfect for those people who have purchased a SIM free iPhone 5 outright from Apple as together, the two methods represent the cheapest way to get a new iPhone 5.

Out of contract iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S users can also switch to 3’s £6.90 a month iPhone SIM only deal as the tariff also applies to standard SIMs and micro-SIMs.

3’s iPhone 5 SIM only deals at £6.90 (12 month contract) or £9.90 (1 month contract) provide 200 anytime network minutes, 5,000 texts and a 500MB mobile internet data allowance per month.

An unlimited mobile internet allowance, known as ‘all-you-can-eat-data’, is available with 200 call minutes and 5,000 texts on a one month contract for just £12.90 per month.

If a user’s iPhone is locked to their existing provider, they will need to unlock it before they can use a new iPhone SIM from 3 or any other mobile network.

To do this, users simply need to call their existing provider and pay them a one-off fee of between £10 and £15 to unlock. Sometimes, this can be done for free following a bit of ‘haggling’ with the call centre.
