Sky Fibre Optic Broadband – Sky Fibre Unlimited For £20
Sky Fibre Unlimited (www.sky.com/fibre), Sky’s fibre optic broadband package with super-fast download speeds up to 38Mbps, is now available to new and existing Sky customers for just £20 a month.
Sky Fibre Unlimited is perfect for UK homes with high Internet usage, be it downloading large files, having many people using the Internet at the same time, or if you do online gaming or HD streaming.
In addition to unlimited internet browsing and downloading with no monthly usage caps, the Sky Fibre Unlimited package also includes Sky’s best ever wireless router and free Wi-Fi access using Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK from The Cloud.
There’s also around the clock technical support, a 12 month trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite, plus inclusive evening and weekend phone calls to UK landlines.
Sky’s fibre optic broadband uses Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) technology which is being rolled out across the UK by Openreach, a BT Group business.
The Openreach fibre optic broadband network is currently available to 10 million UK homes (30% of homes in the UK) and is expected to reach two thirds of UK homes by 2014.
A 12 month contract applies for both new and existing customers taking Sky Fibre Unlimited, while Sky phone line rental of £12.25 a month is also required.
Interested readers can find out whether they live within a Sky fibre optic broadband network area by visiting the www.sky.com/fibre website.
