BT (BT.com\/infinity<\/a>) has announced plans to invest a further \u00a31bn into the roll out of its super-fast fibre optic broadband service which will see coverage extend to two-thirds of UK homes and businesses by 2015.<\/b>
\nThe news means BT will now be committing a total of \u00a32.5bn to its fibre optic broadband network (known as BT Infinity), which offers broadband download speeds up to 40Mbps.
\nAround 4 million UK homes are expected to have access to BT Infinity’s super-fast speeds by December 2010, with 10 million homes able to connect by summer 2012.
\nBT’s additional \u00a31bn expenditure will be managed within their current levels of capital expenditure of around \u00a32.6bn.

\n BT Infinity Broadband<\/a> (Option 1) prices start from \u00a319.99 a month for speeds up to 40Mbps together with a 20GB monthly data usage allowance. Up to 2Mb upload speeds are achievable.
\nUnlimited data usage, subject to a fair use policy is offered with the BT Infinity Option 2 package (\u00a324.99 a month) which also features upload speeds up to 10Mbps.
