TalkTalk’s (talktalk.co.uk<\/a>) low cost broadband and phone deals are proving a hit with Brits following news that the company attracted 42,000 new broadband customers in the first quarter of this year.<\/b>
\nTalkTalk now has the fastest growing broadband provider base in the UK, pushing its total number of subscribers to almost 4.2 million Brits.
\nThe company’s trading statement also revealed that its revenues in the first quarter of the year jumped by 21.7 per cent to \u00a31.69bn.
\nCommenting on the news, Charles Dunstone, TalkTalk’s Chairman said: “This year, we will focus on two main priorities for the business: maintaining our momentum in the broadband market through continuing to grow TalkTalk’s broadband base and average revenue per user; and completing our ‘one company’ integration programme”.
\nDunstone added that “his priority was to add between 140,000 and 180,000 new customers over the coming 12 months”.
